E. SEPARATION
The Executive Director has the authority to terminate any employee's employment with The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC. Employment at the company is “at-will,” meaning either the employee or employer can end the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause.
Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
Falsifying Information: Providing false information on your application, personnel records, or any other documents, which could have influenced hiring decisions.
Performance Issues: Failing to meet performance standards or not completing job duties as required.
Timekeeping Violations: Inaccurate or falsified time records.
Insubordination: Refusing to follow a supervisor’s reasonable instructions.
Failure to Work Reasonable Hours: Refusing to work an acceptable schedule.
Negligence: Carelessness leading to potential harm or damage.
Violence or Aggression: Fighting, arguing, or attempting to harm others.
Property Damage: Destroying or damaging company or others’ property.
Breach of Confidentiality: Disclosing confidential company information.
Substance Abuse: Using or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol during work hours or on company property.
Poor Animal Handling: Mishandling animals in your care.
Theft or Misuse of Property: Using company property for personal gain or removing company materials without authorization.
Excessive Absenteeism: Frequent tardiness or unexcused absences.
Discriminatory Behavior: Engaging in harassment or discrimination.
XV. RETURN OF PROPERTY
When leaving the company, or upon request by the Executive Director, employees must return all company property, including physical and intellectual property (e.g., keys, equipment, files).
If property is not returned, the company may deduct the cost from the employee’s final paycheck. The company may also take action to recover its property.
XVIII. OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT
Employees are allowed to have outside jobs as long as it does not interfere with their work at The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC. Employees must meet performance standards and fulfill their job duties without the outside work affecting their responsibilities.
If outside employment negatively impacts job performance, the company may ask the employee to quit the outside job to remain employed with us.
Outside employment that creates a conflict of interest is not permitted. Employees may not receive any income or material gain from outside sources for work related to their role at The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC.
XIX. NON-DISCLOSURE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Employees are required to protect confidential information learned during their employment. This includes any non-public company information, trade secrets, client data, and internal records.
Employees must not disclose confidential information to anyone outside the company, or to those within the company who do not need the information to perform their job. This includes, but is not limited to:
Compensation details
Financial and program information
Client information
All data on company computers, email systems, and communication channels belongs to The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC and must not be shared or misused.
Summary
Separation: Employment with The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC is at-will, meaning either party can terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause. Employees may be terminated for reasons such as falsifying information, poor performance, negligence, insubordination, theft, substance abuse, excessive absenteeism, or harassment.
Return of Property: Upon separation from the company, employees must return all company property. Failure to do so may result in the cost being deducted from the final paycheck, and the company may take action to recover its assets.
Outside Employment: Employees may hold outside jobs, but only if it does not interfere with their performance at The Dashing Dog Parlour, LLC & Dogzilla Pet Studios, LLC. Outside employment creating a conflict of interest is prohibited.
Non-Disclosure of Confidential Information: Employees are required to protect confidential company information, including financial data, client details, and internal records. Disclosure of this information to unauthorized parties is prohibited.
