Judges

Each category is curated and judged by a selected Magix Ambassador, bringing their unique expertise and perspective into the competition.

All judges are experienced professionals known for:

  • Technical precision

  • Industry education

  • Real-world salon experience

We are looking for Magix Ambassadors who would like to Judge a category for this contest. Judges should be Current competitors or have trained groomers within their business. You choose the category you want to host. It can be a traditional one or a new concept!

Though we will be promoting the event as a whole- Judges will be responsible for boosting their select category to get more participates.

Judges will KEEP all profits earned from their category.

How this process works 

Before and After Photos

Grooming- Competitors will submit a 4 sided before , and a 4 side after picture of their groom dog.

(does not apply to content contest) 

Video Proof

Participates will submit a 5 1-minute long video of different moments during their groom. 

Ultimate groom off

On the day of judging for the other categories we will have a Tiktok Live stream competition. Judging will be affected by video comments, engagement, and over all handling and finish work.

6 allowed entries at a $120 entry price - 1 placement with a special trophy and Title “Magix Shear 2026 Livestream Winner” and a set of Magix Shears. 

Rewards

Depending on entry total will determine which categories have a 1st, 2st, and/or 3rd Placement. Rosettes, Gift cards, and Shears will be given

7 or less = 1 placement

8-14= 2 placements

15-20= 3 placements

1st place prize is of $150 value

2nd place is of $100 value

3rd place is of $79 Value

2nd chance Placement!

after judging is competed there will be one more opportunity for participates to take a placement.

Optional- Participates can request their finish photo can be shared on the Magix FB page for open voting for 1 week- which ever one gets the most reactions takes the 2nd chance placement- Rosset

There will be a 3 month preparation period for submissions, but once they submit their payment we will begin boosting their entry and promoting them. This event is designed to show our peers Magix Shears is Fun, engaging, and supportive.

Once we are ready this webpage will transition into a engaging advertisement with easy payment and Submission licks. Submission will go to a email all judges have access to for review.

Entry tickets for non “ ultimate groom off “ -$40 for one or $60 for Two
